Industry Experts Selected to Deliver Critical Guidance and Insights at Leading IT Security Conferences
Fairfax, VA, September 8, 2014 – Corsec, the world’s leader in providing access to new markets via third-party security validations, recently announced the lineup for its Fall 2014 Global Speaking Tour. Corsec experts will be presenting at key industry conferences on topics that will educate IT product companies on best practices for streamlining the processes of, and ultimately achieving, various information security certifications.
The Tour begins this September in New Delhi, India, from September 9-11, 2014, at the International Common Criteria Conference (ICCC), the global security industry’s main event. During the conference, Corsec staff will deliver two separate knowledge-sharing sessions. As vice chair of the Common Criteria Users Forum (CCUF), Corsec’s Matthew Keller will provide an update on the group’s activities. His talk will address the current CCUF “state of the union,” while offering insight and direction on the CCUF’s future and vision. Corsec’s second ICCC appearance features a topical deep-dive talk by Shashi Karanam on the Role of Entropy in FIPS 140-2 and Common Criteria.
The Tour’s second stop is in Rockville, MD at the second annual International Cryptographic Module Conference (ICMC), held November 19-21, 2014. The ICMC brings together a community of producers, users, and testers of cryptographic modules that are compliant with FIPS 140-2 standards. During the conference, Corsec’s Kathleen Moyer will offer expert product certification insights in her presentation, Understanding FIPS Requirements for DoDIN APL Listing Eligibility. Attendees will gain a firm understanding about which products benefit most from achieving FIPS 140-2 certification, as well as a listing on the Department of Defense (DoD)’s Information Network Approved Products List (DoDIN APL)—and what demonstrating those achievements can mean for the future of their product—whether required or not.
Additional Fall 2014 Global Speaking Tour dates are currently being confirmed. Please contact Corsec for additional dates.
